Sounds the same as Live

The free and paid versions sound exactly the same. It's written into the license.

Record and release

What you record is yours: upload it, sell it or play it live. No royalties, no permission needed.

No internet needed

No account, no connection, and it never sends a single byte from your computer.

Why leave the amp at home

Your whole rig. In a backpack.

For the player on tour, the one in a bar that wants the volume down, the one at church on in-ears or the one practicing in an apartment at midnight: the problem is almost never the sound, it's everything you have to haul and tweak to make it happen.

  • Fits in a backpack. Your laptop, an interface and your MIDI foot controller, instead of over fifty kilos (110 lb) of head, cab and pedals.
  • The same in every room. It goes straight to the desk with its cabinet and microphone: it doesn't depend on how they mic you.
  • Every sound in the setlist. Your captures, 28 pedals and your impulses, with nothing to buy or wire, and 25 sounds a stomp away with Live.
  • Silent stage. Low stage volume, clean in-ears and vocal mics without guitar bleeding in.
  • With a plan B. The license lets you install it on a backup laptop too.
  • The first amp sim made in Colombia, as far as we know. Designed and programmed by a Colombian guitarist.

Valvex Live · try it right here

Your sound, at your feet.

This is the Live mode window, exactly as you'll have it. Recall your sounds, edit them with a right-click, stomp the footswitches, switch to the stage view and open the tuner: everything the licence does, before you pay a cent.

A silent demo with example sounds. To hear it, download the free version: it sounds exactly like Live.

  • 25 saved soundsIn five banks, each with its name, color and icon. Every knob where you left it.
  • Gapless switchingFrom the clean verse to the solo without a silence or a click: the note keeps ringing.
  • Your MIDI foot controllerOver USB or Bluetooth. One stomp calls up a whole sound, and any knob ties to a footswitch.
  • Stage viewThe sound that's playing, big, so you can read it standing up and from a distance.
  • A big tunerWith the output muted while you tune: nobody in the room hears you.
  • Cab-less outputOne side to your power amp and cab, the other with a cab to the desk.
  • One payment, no subscription
  • 14-day refund if it doesn't work on your setup
  • Launch price: a few days left

Two versions, one program

Start free. Take it on stage.

Both sound exactly the same. Live adds what you need to play live, and it unlocks inside the same program with a key, nothing to reinstall.

The pedalboard

28 pedals with character.

Each one with its own sound and its own knobs, like a real pedalboard. Five in front of the amp and five after it, in whatever order you like.

Valve Scream, overdrive Collapse, fuzz Ruin, distortion Bend, pitch shifter Orbit, phaser Echo-3, delay Chamber, reverb Spire, shimmer reverb

Getting started

Tone recipes.

Six starting points to get you sounding great in a minute. After that, every knob is there to be turned.

Modern metal
  1. Shutter
  2. Valve Scream
  3. LEAD
  4. 2 cabinets

The classic trick: the overdrive in front with the drive low and the level high. Palm mutes hit tight and the gate kills the noise between riffs.

Classic rock
  1. Spike
  2. LEAD
  3. Chamber

LEAD with the gain at noon: a crunch that follows how hard you pick. Kick on the Spike for the solo and the amp starts to sing.

Blues
  1. Glass
  2. CLEAN
  3. Chamber

The clean channel with a transparent drive in front: fat when you play soft, breaking up right when you dig in. The spring reverb does the rest.

Funk
  1. Grip
  2. Reflex
  3. CLEAN

The compressor makes every note pop, and the filter opens up with your pick: the harder you play, the more it talks.

Ambient
  1. CLEAN
  2. Drift
  3. Echo-3
  4. Spire

Gentle chorus, tape delay and a reverb that climbs an octave on every pass. Trails that never end.

Down-tuned
  1. Bend
  2. Valve Scream
  3. LEAD

Bend drops your whole guitar a whole step, chords included, without changing strings or touching the pegs. And you keep your usual tone.

Bring your own sound

Your amps. Your pedals. Your IRs.

Already have a sound you love? Bring it. Valvex loads your NAM captures and impulse responses with no limit, in the free version too, and puts them together with everything it has.

Imprint, the pedal that loads NAM pedal captures.
  • Any amp in .nam

    Your amps

As many captures as you like, in place of the amp head. With our pedals in front and our cabinets behind.

  • Inside the Imprint pedal

    Your pedals

A capture of your favorite pedal joins the board as one more, with Drive, Tone and Level, right in front of the amp.

  • On cab A or cab B

    Your IRs

Drag your impulses onto the cabinet and they play in place of ours. Blend two of yours, or one of yours with one of our 4x12s.
